In 2024, 51 547 consultations were recorded by centres providing assistance to victims in the wake of a physical, psychological or sexual offence. This represents an increase of 5% compared with 2023. The cantonal authorities awarded over CHF 6.5 million in compensation or in damages for pain and suffering for victims of offences or their next of kin.
