Agricultural business census - additional survey

The agricultural business census (LBZ) consists of a sample survey that is usually carried out every 3 years in autumn. The purpose of the survey is to provide additional information that is not asked in the annual structural survey. In 2003 and 2005, the size of the sample only allowed evaluations at the national level; since 2010, the data can now also be evaluated at the cantonal level. In 2023 the sample comprises approximately 14'000 of the 48'000 farms in total.
