Cercle Indicateurs

Sustainable development indicators for cities and cantons

Cercle Indicateurs is a platform for developing and implementing a system of sustainable development indicators for cantons and cities. It is managed by the Federal Office for Spatial Development (ARE) in collaboration with the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) and the 16 cantons and 29 cities currently participating.

The indicators (available only in French and German) cover 10 themes that form the core structure of the system and are updated in the autumn of odd-numbered years.

Results: Comments from cities and cantons on their respective results are published on the ARE website (under "Documents").

Further information on the objectives, indicator system and partners can be found on the Methodological aspects page (only available in German, French and Italian).
