Consumer sentiment higher than a year ago

In August 2024 the consumer sentiment index stood at -35 points. This is 6 points higher than in August 2023. The following sub-indices are higher than in August 2023: economic outlook, past financial situation, financial outlook, and moment to make major purchases.
