The gross domestic product (GDP) is the reference value for measuring economic performance. It is the total of the value added generated by resident economic stakeholders, plus taxes and minus goods subsidies. The GDP is calculated at current prices and at previous year's prices. Economic growth is expressed as the rate of change compared with the previous year’s prices.
