Consumer sentiment higher than a year ago

In May 2024 the consumer sentiment index stood at -38 points. This is 2 points higher than in May 2023. The following sub-indices are higher than in May 2023: past financial situation, financial outlook, and moment to make major purchases. The following sub-index has barely changed compared to May 2023: economic outlook.
