Consumer sentiment significantly higher than a year ago

In September 2024 the consumer sentiment index stood at –34 points. This is 17 points higher than in September 2023. The following sub-indices were higher than in September 2023: economic outlook, past financial situation, financial outlook and moment to make major purchases.
