New registrations of road vehicles

According to data status immediately after the end of the month (excluding late registrations)

According to official federal vehicle statistics, 30 316 new road motor vehicles were registered in Switzerland in september 2026, including 21 872 passenger cars, 2631 goods transport vehicles and 4919 motorcycles. For passenger cars, there was a +10% change compared with the same month of the previous year (petrol, incl. HEV: -3%; diesel, incl. HEV: -7%; plug-in hybrid: -10%; electric: +52%).
