This interactive chart shows the latest available monthly figures on plug-in vehicles as a share of new road vehicle registrations of passenger cars and allows comparisons with previous years. Plug-in vehicles include battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs). The monthly data for any given year generally reflect the status of the vehicle register as at the 3rd day of the following month, meaning late registrations are not included.
