For the FSO, AI Readiness involves preparing its data to ensure that it is not only accessible to humans, but also easily found, understood and used by artificial intelligence systems. This approach relies on high-quality metadata, interoperable data and more automated processes, in order to improve the efficiency of statistical production and free up time for analysis. Through its 2025–2027 transformation programme, the FSO is adapting its entire statistical value chain to ensure the transparency, reliability and correct interpretation of official statistics in the age of AI. The aim is to maintain an ecosystem of reliable data to support informed decision-making, both now and in the future.
