In the 4th quarter 2025, the number of employed persons in Switzerland rose by 0.1% compared with the same quarter of the previous year. During the same period, the unemployment rate as defined by the International Labour Organization (ILO) increased from 4.4% to 5.0% in Switzerland and from 5.7% to 5.8% in the European Union (EU).
