In the 2nd quarter 2026, the number of employed persons in Switzerland rose by 0.8% year-on-year. The unemployment rate as defined by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) rose from 4.6% to 4.9% in Switzerland, whereas in the EU it remained at 5.9%.
