Opinion on equal opportunities
This indicator shows the degree of support for the idea that everyone living in Switzerland should enjoy equal opportunities, regardless of their nationality.
From an integration perspective, the aim is to increase the percentage of people supporting equality of opportunity between Swiss and foreign nationals living in Switzerland.
Key findings:The population with a migration background is significantly more favourable towards equality of opportunity between Swiss and foreign nationals living in Switzerland permanently than the population with no such background.
Trends over time: Between 2015 and 2020, there has been a significant increase in support for equality of opportunity between Swiss and foreign nationals among the population without a migration background.
Major regions: In the Lake Geneva region, the population with a migration background is significantly more in favour of equality in Switzerland than the population with no such background.
