This indicator provides information on the share of the population that is affected by poverty despite being in work. It therefore reflects the issue of the working poor.
From an integration perspective, a reduction in the poverty rate among employed persons indicates an improved situation.

Trends over time: Since 2014, the poverty rate among employed persons has not significantly changed in the population groups studied, with the exception of the first generation where it has increased.
Major regions: In 2024, the poverty rate among employed persons in the population with a migration background is significantly higher than that of the population without a migration background in North-western and Eastern Switzerland.
