Consumer prices fell by 0.1% in July

03.08.2026 - The Consumer Price Index (CPI) fell by 0.1% in July 2026 compared with the previous month to 101.1 points (December 2025 = 100). Inflation was +0.4% compared with the same month of the previous year. These are the results of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).

The 0.1% decrease compared with the previous month is due to several factors including lower prices for air transport, diesel and petrol. Prices also decreased for clothing and footwear, due to seasonal sales. In contrast, other parahotel accommodation and heating oil recorded a price increase, as did car rental and car sharing.
