Value added tax in Switzerland 2012: results and comments 0.8% increase in tax revenue

0.8% increase in tax revenue

Bern/Neuchâtel, 24.06.2014 (FTA/FSO) - Net tax receivables from value added tax amounted to CHF 22.2 billion in 2012, which was 0.8% higher than the previous year. The growth was largely due to value added tax on imported goods. This is indicated in the publication entitled "Die Mehrwertsteuer in der Schweiz 2012 / La taxe sur la valeur ajoutée en Suisse 2012" (Value added tax in Switzerland in 2012), which was published by the Federal Tax Administration (FTA) today.
