Paternity acknowledgement

Paternity acknowledgement

Paternity is acknowledged when father is not married to the mother of the child and the line of descent must be established officially. This act is recorded by a declaration of acknowledgement of parentage at the registry office, before a court or via one’s last will and testament (posthumously). Paternity acknowledgement can be made before or after the birth.
