Purchasing power standard (PPS)

Purchasing power standard (PPS)
For European comparisons, disposable equivalent income is expressed using purchasing power standards (PPS). PPS is an artificial currency unit that adjusts for differences in price levels between countries. With PPS, the same amount of goods and services can be purchased in every country, enabling economic indicators from different countries to be compared.
