Registered aircraft in Switzerland

In 2025, a total of 3 035 aircraft were registered in the Swiss Aircraft Register. Just over half of these were aeroplanes (1643), followed by gliders (480), helicopters (358) and free balloons (308). Since 2000, the number of aeroplanes has fallen slightly (–16%) and the number of gliders has halved (‒51%), while the number of helicopters has increased by 42%.
