New SHIS staff categories were created in 2013. The results are published in the following staff groups:
UNI: Professors (Cat. 51) split into Full professors (Cat. 511), Extraordinary and associate professors (Cat. 512), Assistant professors with tenure track (Cat. 513) and Assistant professors without tenure track (Cat. 514), Other lecturers (Cat. 52) split into Lecturers, active in teaching and research (521) and Lecturers in addition to another main activity (Cat. 522) , Assistants and scientific staff (Cat. 53, 54), Managerial, clerical and technical staff (Cat. 56 to 59).
UAS/UTE: Lecturers with management responsibility (Cat. 51), Other lecturers (Cat. 52), Assistants and scientific staff (Cat. 53, 54), Managerial, clerical and technical staff (Cat. 56 to 59).
The term «teaching staff» covers lecturers with management responsability and other lecturers (Cat. 51, 52).
The term «academic staff» covers teaching staff and assistants and scientific staff (Cat. 51, 52, 53, 54).
