Consumption reached pre-COVID-19 levels in 2022 averaging CHF 4949 per month

12.11.2024 - There were few changes in household income in Switzerland in 2022 compared with the previous year. The average disposable income of CHF 6902 per month was comparable to that of previous years. Consumer spending, however, did rise slightly and the level of consumption seen in the pre-COVID-19 years was reached again in 2022. These are some of the findings from the 2022 Household Budget Survey from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
